The Surprise Package Ajax?

The Surprise Package Ajax?

We all are wondering how did this happen? We all have been watching the greatest sports competition on the planet for years and all of a sudden a very young group of boys come and they dominate legendary teams with serial winners like Real Madrid and Juventus. They were also amazing against Bayern at the group stage. We have to look into the manager who brought this change and have to see their transition from Eredivisie to Ucl. the surprise package ajax.

Erik Ten Hag :

We all think Football is just a player based game. If our favorite team is going to buy this player we might be winning UCL. But, it is not the case. It is all about tactics and generally, it is the manager who wins rather than an individual player. Erik has seen how Guardiola keeps possession and plays football which is scary for every other team, as he has been under him during pep’s reign at Bayern.

Well, there are variations to what Guardiola generally does by keeping ball the most and then play simple passes, mainly in the final third. What Erik did was kept possession just as pep but was way creative while scoring dealing with crosses as well rather than just passes. The Ajax players did not collect the ball much rather than were focused on having a shot for sure whenever they march forward as you would have seen Ziyech doing that. In football, you have to play exactly as your manager has planned. the surprise package ajax

High Defence: Their defense was up with everyone moving up along with the sweeper-keeper onana. If your whole team is pressing up to get a goal, it is almost possible to achieve it. They looked scary.

Super Tadic: Last season, the guy failed at Southampton playing as a winger. This season he has played a much deeper role, just as Messi usually does in a Guardiola formation, operating just behind the striker.

Wingers: Neres was all speed, but that was his job. Ziyech was perhaps way creative and operated well along with Tadic.

Super Frankie: the guy is a machine, loves to keep the ball. He was the link between ajax’s back and offense as in the second leg vs Juventus in the first half being marked by Dybala, he failed to do his job. As soon as Dybala left, he was free as kean being immature failed to continue Dybala’s work. Also, his insane defending skills come from originally being a center half last season.

Finishing Department: Van De Boek, the offside slayer has done his job wonderfully. Also, Tadic and Ziyech did their jobs as well.

Diamond: it is the best way to keep possession as three players operate very close to each other.

4-2-3-1: The legendary formation is dominating on the ground as well as on the virtual pitch, with Frankie dropping as a Left Center-half when pressed by opponents, de ligt right center half, and returning Blind being the central center-half.

Scoring Machines: The only team this season in the whole of Europe to score 100 goals and were third in the list of most goals scored in UCL this season.

We wish this team all the best and will be hoping for them to entertain us again next season under Erik. Next time, I might see you with some detailed analysis regarding other teams!
